CASAMIGOS DINNER & TASTING

 

 Hear the story of Casamigos Tequila and Mezcal, an idea sparked by friendship and expanded beyond anything ever imagined.
Our evening begins with live Latin music and a meet & greet with the Casamigos NW team and Mission Cantina owners. Guests will then enjoy each Casamigos expression along with four special courses created by the Mission Cantina kitchen.

Casamigos started out as a private project between George Clooney and Rande Gerber, who were simply friends on a mission to create the perfect tequila. After four years and a few thousand bottles being ordered from their distillery, they were told they had to get licensed in order to keep producing the tequila. They decided to do just that, and named the tequila Casamigos (loosely translated “House of Friends”) after the property in Mexico that Gerber and Clooney share.

Casamigos Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agaves, grown in the rich red clay soil and cool climate of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, cooked in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 80 hours, then copper-pot distilled.

Casamigos Mezcal is made from 100% Espadín agaves, harvested, split and laid to cook for 4–6 days in six-ton earthen pits, then tahona-crushed to extract the juice, which is fermented for 2–8 days before being distilled in covered copper pot stills.
